Crocus Planting

Hibaldstow Parish Council have donated £200 for 3,000 crocus bulbs which are to be planted ready for emerging in spring.  The donation has been provided to Brigg Rotary Club who are intending to plant 20,000 bulbs during November in and around Brigg to raise people’s awareness of eradicating polio.  The eradication of polio is very close and only 3 countries are being worked with at present to ensure the total immunisation for all the children.  The colour purple represents the colour of the dye used when a child had been immunised and their finger has been dipped.
