      is there anything worse than writing a 3 star review this was an enjoyable little novella, but there wasn't anything particularly interesting or new going on, or any particularly good plot twists, so i didn't really feel it merited 4 stars. i still liked it, though.

      I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest reviewThis book stared out really great, but then I felt like the later half just skimmed over a lot of plot explanation and character development and it really would have benefited from an extra 25 pages. But it was still a really great concept and I liked the characters from what we saw of them. It's a fun short read but it definitely could use some fleshing out.

      DNF @ 53%This was unusual for me. Normally I can fight my way to the end of a novella because of how short it is, but I struggled with this one. When I had to put it down for a short break, I had absolutely no desire to pick it up again. Several days on, I’m finally admitting defeat.
