      An interesting anecdotal book that almost wasn't.My interest in Loretta Young was two-fold. My mother absolutely adored her, primarily through her long-running television show (the DOOR reference in the title acknowledging that the actress always entered the set through a door at the opening of the show to announce the night's story). Also, there was something hauntingly attractive about her, although I never thought of her as a great actress.The writer had known Loretta Young for about ten year [...]
