Having read Book 5 of the Lodestone series, I knew I was in for another exciting journey above the stratosphere with Eternity's Shadow, book 6 from the Lodestone Series by Mark Whiteway. We follow Keris who is now the head of the Division for the Maintenance of World Order (quite a mouthful, eh!) as she attempted to locate the Ancient girl. Instead, she came upon a bloody foliage, displaying a recently dead Chandara while her own sharp staff was drawn. Then two other Chandaras eerily came down a [...]

Finally! I have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of the sixth book in the Lodestone series, so it is with great excitement that I write this review for Eternity's Shadow. Keris seems a bit wiser this time around. From her nonchalance when she realizes she was probably set up as a murder suspect in the very beginning of the book, to the way she accepts that she and Juca will be caged as captors towards the middle of the story, nothing phases Keris. I liked seeing the culmination of all the [...]

I want to be above board and say that I provided a manuscript critique on this book (and others in the series) before it was published, but even so, I really rate this book and would like to share the reasons why. Science fiction books are not usually my preference, especially when my time is so limited, but seriously, Eternity's Shadow is fantastic. This is the 6th book in the series and it's attention grabbing and convincing right from the very first page. The story is imaginative, it's clever [...]

Awesome Sci-Fi/Fantasy Adventure!!Keris is in the forest with the hu-man McCann on a mission to find the ancient one Zemira. McCann is not one she wants to be with but he is the only one who like herself knows of the ancient spheres. When a high pitched shriek fills the air Keris does her job to go investigate where she finds one of the calm, peace-loving Chandara dead. Just as she is about to find out why, others arrive to lead her and McCann to the Great Tree of the Chandara where she is accus [...]

I always enjoy the way Whiteway goes in a different direction than what I was expecting from the previous book. It took me the first part of the book to remember what was going on since I hadn't read the previous installment in a while. There were a few times where I felt like the characters disagreed and were unnecessarily pushing against each other for no other reason than to create conflict in the story, but they never went so far as to do something completely inane because of it so I'm not c [...]
