This Review contains mature content reader discretion advised3 STARS out of 5Genre: New Adult RomanceFull Review posted on 5-5-14Jasmine Jennings was in desperate need of an out and she got one. After completing college she left the domineering home of which she was raised in and ended up in the big apple(New York City) with her best friend and now roommate Summer. Meeting HOT night club owner Knox was not part of her plan but it sure as heck was part of his. When Knox realizes Jasmine is now li [...]

Okay where to start. This book just did not do it for me. I felt like the story was very rushed and Jasmine and Knox when from not even talking to one another to saying I love you in the course of seconds. The pace was just off. Jasmine denied all feelings, then was suddenly overcome with them without anything really showing how those feelings changed. In one weekend trip, she finds this instant love for all these people that she just meets and it’s like I had reader’s whiplash. The plot twi [...]

Not my cup of tea. I thought it was going to be good judging from the blurb. But then the heroine started whining right there on the very first page and it went downhill very fast. She didn't really stop whining. She whined about her parents; too controlling. She whined she couldn't get the course she wanted in college; but went anyway and lived like a queen. She whined about being too rich. She whined about how her life sucks while enjoying her trust fund in a cushy, door-manned co-op in New Yo [...]

Cheesy. Rushed. Lacking.*****SPOILER ALERT****Jasmine Jennings is running from a horrible childhood. She runs away to New York, with her trust fund and best friend. What was so awful about her childhood? Her mom is an alcoholic, and her dad is controlling. Typical rich girl drama. My parents made me wear nice clothes. My parents paid for college. My parents want me to take over their multimillion dollar company. WHINE! I am not exaggerating when I say that is basically the depth of what we get f [...]

This story was good, could of been bette if the ending had not felt so rushed to me. It definitely needs some work on the sentence structure. This is just one example of what I mean with sentence structure Rhea also lent me a pair of her black pumps so I wouldn't have to stumble around on heels all night. There are some sentences that need to be re-worked and re-worded as well. I'm not editor but I caught them while reading and it made me have to re-read some to understand what was being said cor [...]

Megan Smith has done it once again in her new book Finding Us. I read this book in about 3 hours tops once I started it I just could not put it down. I have read every book she has published and loved them all so I am not surprised that I loved this one also. Jasmine aka Jas grew up with the best of everything that money could buy. Except she wasn't happy by all means her parents were controlling in ever aspect of her life from social event to college even her classes it was all maped out for he [...]

I really enjoyed this book - a solid four stars from me. It kept me guessing and intrigued from the first chapter to the last and I'm not ashamed to say I devoured this book in a few hours.I definitely had a few laughs during this book courtesy of Cade and Jeremy and I am hoping the next few books cover their respective stories. And let me just say Knox Mitchell is practically edible. You've been told!My only complaint is the music referenced throughout the book. I HATE pop music! With a passion [...]

3 starsThe story's quite exciting, I like revenge stories so I chose this amongst hundreds of books!!He wanted her to fall for him, then leave her high and dry, he did thatbut he fell for her tooI like the writing style and it's written in dual 1st person POV which I like. The story is okay, I just hope that there's moreoblems? I'm not really that satisfied

A lacking and dragging plot that's vague for the sake of being vague before it up and makes a mad damn dash to the most illogical, unf'ing believable, rushed explanation and HEA imaginable. Horrible characters that are empty other than the whining and brooding. The writing was full of fluff. It's overly telling about mundane, trivial shit & purposefully flippant and clipped about the nuts and bolts of the story because you'd immediately stop reading if you had any clue about the what and why [...]

I find myself saying this a lot lately; I don't normally do this BUT:I have a sales app that tracks my e-book wishlist and lets me know when a book on my list drops to a certain price. I will attempt to do a post about the amazing app (REMIND ME). Somehow I must have seen finding Us advertised and added it to my wishlist, so when I got the price drop alert I automatically one clicked it - I mean it was on my wishlist. Intrigued as I couldnt remember anything about it, I delved in and then couldn [...]

At only 198 pages, Finding Us by Megan Smith is a quick read. What starts as revenge, ends with a happily ever after. Although, not before some major twists and turns.Megan Smith keeps you on your toes, wanting to find out what happens next and if love is truly in the making between our hero and heroine. I think the secondary characters are extremely easy to relate to and cannot wait to read more of this series. Finding Us is the first book in the Finding Series. Knox and Jasmine have a chemistr [...]

I'm not sure how I felt about this. Honestly, I didn't see the connection between the two characters apart from physical attraction. There was no communication, no spark for me. I enjoyed the secondary characters better. I feel like there wasn't any subtle hints to the big reveal throughout the book, then all of a sudden the end happens and I'm bombarded with information. It confused me. There were some cute parts, and I didn't think the heroine was a complete imbecile half the time, so that def [...]

all this book was was a bunch of whinging from the H and the h. the only reason I finished it was because I wanted to know what his issue with her was and I rally wish I would have just stopped reading it. I felt absolutely no connection to any character in this book. just bad ugh bad badthis one was not for me and I will not be reading book 2

    • getteraa says:

NA authors need to understand that there`s no need to copy already there storylines. I cant even find a normal book with unique storyline these days. The so called chemistry between the characters was just blah and nonexistent. And I didn`t feel the love between them. I have more to say but I don`t want to get mean.

    • Anne OK says:

A good example of one of those books you want to love and rave about but it just doesn't work out. It could have been a favorite with a little more story development and character-depth tweaking, it definitely should have been edited better, and then it would have been at least a 4 star review. The story certainly had the potential.

I started this before bed thinking I'd read a chapter or two before falling asleep. Here it is two hours later and I fully devoured this. The storyline was great, the twist was excellent. I loved Knox and Jasmine as well as the supporting characters too. Can't wait for book #2. Well done, Megan!!

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickFinding Us is the first book that I have ever read by Megan Smith. I am a NA junkie, and the blurb of this one really drew me in. Two main characters with secrets and messed up pasts trying to find their way really intrigues me, and I thought that Knox and Jasmine's story was sure to be a home-run. I thought that this story had a lot of promise, and it could have been really great. But there were several things that really kept me from being a [...]

I have read all of Megan Smith’s books and I have loved each of them. So when I was given the opportunity to review Finding Us, of course I had to jump on it. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. There were several parts of this book that broke my heart and you couldn’t help but feel sorry for both Jasmine and Knox.Jasmine had all the material possessions and money growing up, but not a loving family. I've been a huge fan of Megan Smith since I fell in love with the characters in The Love Series. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Finding Us, and all I can say is that Megan delivered another great book. In Finding Us, we're introduced to Knox and Jasmine. Knox has his own agenda when he meets Jasmine; one that he's had set into motion for quite some time. The only problem is, once Knox gets to know Jasmine, his feelings begin to change. Jasmine's life has always been dictated to her. Aft [...]

ripeforreader/201My rating: 4 of 5 ⭐️Growing up with controlling parents had Jasmine Jennings hightailing it for New York with her best friend Summer as soon as she could get away. At twenty-two, she is finally making some friends and building a life the way she wants it. What she is not looking for just yet, is a romantic entanglement, and dangerously sexy Knox Mitchell has trouble written all over him.Five years ago, successful club owner Knox Mitchell lost almost everything worth living f [...]

Absolutely loved it! Megan Smith is an auto buy author for me so loving this book came as no surprise to me. It is probably my favorite of Megan's books so far. I sat down with the intention of reading a few chapters and 4 hours later i had the book finished. I just couldn't put it down. She out did herself with this story of finding one's self, letting go of the past, and learning to love and trust again. Jasmine Jennings lived a life under the strict thumb of her parents. She had all of the mo [...]
