This was a simple but wonderful story of a child and his favorite toy. This story made me think about how my favorite toys got me through tough times when I was a child and how my child is devastated if he is separated from his favorite toys. A very relateable story for parents and kids alike

Finding Elliott is a children’s story, and I admittedly don’t read many. Knowing that Meckley’s work is mainly for an adult audience, the curious reader in me had to take a look at Finding Elliott.Everyone has had some object or person in their life that brings feelings of comfort and security, at least at some point in life. What an endearing and loveable short story that allows you the parent to spend quality time with your kiddos. Our 8 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed, and this offers exploring the possibilities and outcomes of losing a beloved childhood toyt only toy, but best friend. Great teaching tool for youngsters and dealing with emotions, and highly relatable for us all. I received my complimentary copy from the author in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
