This book is a bit of a convoluted mess. The story involves cheating, a divorce, stalking, a lovesquared randomly shifting narrative tenses.Rachel is trying to get a divorce from her husband, Vinnie, who has been cheating on her with his secretary. Vinnie is an obsessive, possessive creep though, and refuses to sign the divorce papers, until he does. He just kind of decides, out of the blue, to sign the papers, and then tries to say that by signing them and giving Rachel what she needs to divorce [...]

At first glance, this is a fairly straight forward story. A woman deeply in love with her husband has decided to divorce him for repeatedly cheating on her. He doesn't want to let her go, but until backed into a corner, won't admit just how long he's been seeing the other woman. Donahue does an excellent job of portraying just how angry Rachel Rossini is about her husband's cheating. There is a lot of anger in this story, maybe too much. Rachel blows up at the slightest provocation throughout th [...]

4 1/2 starsThis book is a contemporary romance that could be a three book series but can be read as a stand alone book. Trusting Hearts is the second book in the heart series that continues with Rachel, Gia's sister and it was a pleasant surprise. This is a quick read that is very entertaining. A major improvement to the last book and I cant wait for the next series. I really appreciated how she put her kids first. And the love she has for her family. This book is about Rachel Rossini, whom has b [...]

In book 2 of the heart series the story continues, but this time it follows Rachel's story. Rachel and Vinnie were married for 23 years and had two twin boys. During the first book you find out Vinnie cheated on her and makes a big scene at the family barbeque when he shows up drunk. This book continues with Rachel filing a divorce and rekindling a romance with her first love Carson who is also her sister Gia's coworker. But Vinnie doesn't give up and and Rachel;s life spins out of control when [...]

I was in love with Brad and Gia and Ms. Donahue hit another home run with Rachel's story too!! I was hooked again from the very first page. This book is written perfectly and the flow is awesome. I want to strangle Vinnie. He is nothing but a pig. I love that the author makes all these characters so relatable and real. I think I can say I have known a Carsy, a Vinnie, and a Maria in my life and found that I could really understand what the author was trying to say with each one. Carsy and Rachel [...]

Trusting Hearts, which is the second book in the Hearts Series, is a must read in my opinion. I absolutely loved Acquiring Hearts, so when I heard that S. Donahue had written another book, I just had to read it. I wasn't disappointed. Without giving too much away, Rachel certainly has an abundance of drama in her life, as well as male romantic prospects! Between bad boy Vinnie, the swoon-worthy Dr. Colin HIll, and Rachel's irresistible ex-boyfriend/divorce lawyer, we have more than enough drama [...]

Trusting heart is a sequel to Acquiring Hearts which I had the privilege to read as wellSome say the second book is harder to write in a series than the firstS. Donahue must be super woman than because the story between book Acquiring and Trusting hearts was completely fluid. I loved it! I normally read historical romances or paranormal romances S. Donahue has made me a fan! Royalty and vampires have nothing on her take of classical love.

Oh crap. That was NOT the outcome I was expecting and now I am at the edge of my seat waiting for book 3. I can't believe Maria would do that but the reason is so unknown. What was Vinnie trying to gain by keep pursuing Rachel when he was still a cheating bastard. I am so happy he got his butt handed to him for trying to rape her. That was just WOW

Boring and unrealBoring and unrealThis book just never did it for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters and the story line just kept getting more absurd. There were too many plot twists that became unrealistic and took away from where the story should have been. And of course. There are more books to get the whole story.

Trusting Hearts is a fairly quick read about a woman whose life is so full of drama at times it read like a Soap Opera! All in all it was enjoyable to read and even though I have yet to read book 1 in The Heart Series I had no problem connecting to the characters. I will definitely pick up the next in the Series Judging Hearts because I have got to see what these characters will do next!
