Ivy’s story in Shy Town Girls was one I could not put down. I believe I read it in almost a day and am sad that it is over. I fell in love with the Shy Town girls; Ivy, Ella, Meryl, and Bobbie. Of course I loved the cocky, self assured Shane too. It was also a book that I could see where it was heading from the very beginning, but knew the road to happiness would be full of twists, turns, and a lot of fun times. The fact that it was set in Chicago, which is just 2 hours from where I am, made i [...]

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Ivy is a fun loving girl who is the life of the party. I felt Ivy’s pain as her father pushed his way into her life even though he was unwanted. I laughed at her shenanigans, and truly felt her joy when she resolved some unsettling issues in her life.Again, as with Book 1 the descriptions of the Chicago landmarks are impeccable. Being a midwesterner myself I’ve come to know the Chicago area very well. The characterization of the Chicago seasons made me [...]

She lives with her best friend Ella, and another girl, Bobbie. A fourth girl, Meryl, rounds out their gang. Their world is based in Chicago and filled with work drama, fashion dilemmas and romantic entanglements. Ivy seems to find trouble wherever she turns. Despite knowing she shouldn’t mix work with pleasure, Ivy starts dating one [...]

Shy Town Girls ~ Ivy is set in Chicago where four very close friends live and help each other in the daily grind of life. Ivy's best friend is Ella and she puts a strain on their friendship by keeping secrets. The two girls have to decide if the deception is more important than the friendship. The characters are all nice women with very different personalities and approaches to life but they all love one another like sisters, which is what makes this such a good story.Shy Town Girls is a series [...]
