Very cute. So funny at times I laughed out loud. Reminds me of Gemma Halliday's writing. Very fun and light.

Romance, humor and mystery. Lacy’s mother Frannie is such a downer, pill, diva; and Riley isn’t my favorite character either. But it is still a fun read.

Vanessa Gray Bartal's Wedding Day of Murder is the 6th of the Lacy Steele series, and I have been a fan of this series since the first one. So I guess, needless to say, I enjoyed this one as well. With the continued sibling rivalry between Lacy and her sister, not to mention between Lacy and her mother, its not surprising that Lacy wants nothing to do with Riley's wedding. But, of course, it is her duty as sister to throw the bridal shower and it better be everything her mother expects it to be. [...]

SPOILER ALERT!!!DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS!This has been a favorite series of mine. I was eagerly anticipating this next installment. I even reread the last two books in the series before I started this one. They were both as wonderful as I remembered and I couldn’t wait to get into this one.It was a slow dreary start . The mother was so unbelievably grating. Her insistence that Riley have a wedding when the woman was already married and pregnant was annoying. The fact that NO-ONE is willing to sta [...]

Lacy is forced into participating in her sister's wedding and having her wisdom teeth removed. Things are not right in her small town, she has enemies that will do anything to take her down. Nothing seems right when a reporter comes to town, asking questions about Lacy. When his dead body is found by Lacy, Jason has his hands full investigating a murder and keeping Lacy safe. Lacy is having side effects from the anesthesia, some one keeps taking her and she has no clue. Laugh out loud times unti [...]

So Riley, Lacy's sister, didn't marry the loser ex after all, but instead, married Josh, Lacy's best friend. Now they are pregnant and Lacy and Riley's mom is being the bridezilla mother of the bride as she forces everyone to go thru a formal wedding for Riley and Rev. Josh who had eloped to Vegas in an earlier book. And of course, there is another murder to solve. It's stress city for Lacy and friends as Mom makes life miserable for everyone. But read it. It's still good even when you want to h [...]

I've not read anything else in the series, so don't know the author. I enjoyed this book, made me laugh out loud in a few places more at things people said than at things that happened. I thought some of the situations that were supposed to be funny were highly improbable and contrived just to push the story along. I also have to say I think it's cheating when the murderer turns out to be just plain, out your head crazy with no real signs of it before - bit like "then I woke up and found it was [...]

This was a fun mystery with a surprise ending. I have read the first 5 Lacy Steel Mysteries and although it has been a while, I really did not recognize her in this story. That is probably more me than the author, yet seems something would have been familiar. I am not so thrilled with the Lacy character in this story. She's a little over-the-top weird and a bit too dependent on boyfriend, Jason. Well, she's a pretty young 20-something and I suppose has things to work out. It was an ok read and I [...]

I love this series and this book just continues on with my enjoyment. I find myself laughing often and I love the conversations between Lacy and Jason. Lacy's mother is obnoxious and makes Riley look better, lol. I liked that some of the book was from Jason's perspective, that was refreshing. I loved this book and eagerly await the next.

    • Kathryn Moore says:

I thought maybe Lacy might be the one getting married, but it was her sister having a "proper" wedding to Tosh, even they are already married. But their mother insisted it be done properly. Meanwhile, Lacy has her wisdom teeth out and doesn't handle the medication very well and keeps wandering off. Jason keeps finding her, but in the end, we find out she was actually taken.

Excellent and entertainingThis entire series are expertly written and have just the right amount of fantasy and reality. So refreshing to read a book that doesn't have foul language throughout. Excellent.

Who wants Lacey deadLacey Steele mysteries is one of the best series I have read. If you have not read ease go to the first book and read them all so you too can love the characters, laugh at Lacey's attempts to run and the murders she gets involved in

Really enjoying this seriesLackey and her family are so entertaining. Her relationship with Jason is fascinating, she being a accident prone slob and him a COD clean freak. In this book we get to see how everyone has grown, though the villain plot was weak and seemed hurried.

    • Kerryn Taylor says:

The last book in the series was a let down. The humour was good and the plot a bit whacky as usual but wit got a bit too far fetched and it finally lost all credibility when the suspect was unveiled.

    • Virginia C. Poteete says:

Good mysteryLacy has another crazy time but always has Jason looking out for her!Good read and fun too if you like crazy!!

    • Linda says:

I really am enjoying this series and liked this one even more than some. It was more from Jason's point of view. Already got the next book.

    • Glenda says:

A bit disappointed in this book. It did not have the humor the other books in the series had. I will read the next book, though.
