While Misty is in Singapore trying to catch her sister's boyfriend in a compromising position, Taylor (her coworker and hotness infinity) is also searching behind the scenes. An afternoon together makes Misty forget all about her self-imposed celibacy and leads her to think not all men are a waste of space. Together, they work to solve the mystery surrounding her father's poisoning and her mother's part in it - hoping to put Philip's business and his dealings, in the trash while they're at it. T [...]

I really liked this story. Short enough to read in an evening, but full of tension and passion. The author really kept me guessing as to what was really going on, though I had plenty of suspicions throughout. Also, I found the scenes between Misty and Taylor intense and sizzling. The only thing I found unrealistic is I've never been able to sleep through a plane taking off or landing, and that sort of made me raise my eyebrows (though I suppose some people may be able to). Also, if you are Americ [...]

A rollicking fun story that will keep your head turning.I love Misty's self-deprecating and snarky voice. Add that she's clumsy, prone to accidents and a little ditzy makes this book a Singapore sling load of fun.Misty thinks she's investigating her sister's boyfriend, also her boss, for signs of infidelity. She stumbles around with her camera hoping to catch him and another woman in her telephoto lens. What she doesn't realize is that she's not the only one with suspicions. Her handsome coworke [...]

I was so excited for this book to be released and I bought as soon as it was available. I was NOT disappointed. I loved revisiting with Misty, Taylor, Fiona and Philip. One of my favorite things in the Played By books is that Taylor is such a strong, influential character but he's quiet and he gets his way by being persistent and charming. Misty is such a complicated woman and she has very clear boundaries. I love love love that her boundaries are constantly being shifted and torn down with Tayl [...]

122 pagesI was chuckling pages in and that is a very good thing since suspense and humour are two things I enjoy. It was such fun being inside Misty’s head while she alternated between self-deprecating humour and a dry sardonic wit. Oh, GodI spend too much time analyzing things in my head. Perhaps I should take my friends advice, quit thinking and shag more. She’s on the hunt to uncover some truths and she’s confident she can handle most things thrown her way until Taylor decides to get in [...]
