This book really should have been a series of info graphics, a short blog, or just a website. Really, the play-by-play style of essay is not a useful way to analyze anything. There were elements of social culture that were left out of useful chapters, and I was just mostly disappointed in the entire book.

Excellent set of essays examining the strategies behind and meaning of the 2012 election. Written by leading political scientists the essays are easy to digest and cover a range of topics. Useful for classroom and profitable for individuals who want to understand why elections matter.

Read for a class. Not a bad book, but a very dense read. Incredibly well written but more useful as a reference than as a standalone text.
