Read it in one day. Loved it. Did not want to put it down. Can not wait till Tainted is out and can find out what happens next. I know Grace is going to marry Ian. It just has to be.

Cyndi Goodgame crafted an intriguing fairy tale amid a mystical, creature-laden backdrop. The plot draws you in and keeps you captivated from start to finish. Goodgame’s main characters Ian and Grace were well-developed (especially their quirks). I admired how Goodgame blended romance with paranormal. I am excited to read book 2 and 3 and that is my way of saying I thoroughly enjoyed book 1.

I really admire the author's ability to think like a teenager. Reading the main character's thoughts was really exactly like I imagine it sounds inside of a teenager's head!

So I just finished "Deception" and first, let me say that I stayed awake through the night to read it. This is not something I often do, because I value my sleep greatly, but I did it for this book. That alone should tell you something. The strengths of this novel are:-The bond between Ian and Grace (how it starts and how it matures). I won't give away too much for you there.-Quirky Grace herself. I found myself really liking her. I adore how intelligent she is. As a quirky, intelligent girl mys [...]

The development of characters is profound enough to carry the reader through the book all by itself. I love the scent additives to make the story vary from other Fey related books. And I am so in love with Pike! I want to know more about that boy!

One of my favorite fairy books.

Great book by a great author. She inspired me to write my own.

Okay I want to start by saying I'm not usually one to leave a bad review but I'm making an exception here because this book just blew my mind and not in a good way. Honestly, when I buy an ebook for $2.99 I don't expect the next Great Gatsby. All I'm looking for is a quick, enjoyable read. But I do expect good grammar, a decent plot, something that passes for decent literature. I don't know how to say this without coming off condescending but Ms. Goodgame really needs to take a few writing class [...]

Needs Work!I really wanted to like this book, but was disappointed in the lack of follow through in the story line. It's as if the writer could not keep track of where she was from one sentence to the next. Most of the book is a repeat of how much they love each other and how wonderful they are. It is as if we were expected to already know the background and history of what was going on. Even if you are able to ignore it being day one moment and night the next, you will have to deal with the imp [...]

Actual rating: 1.5/5I knew early on that it wasn't good but I had this innate curiosity to want to know what will happen; therefore, I finished it.Finishing the whole book did not alter my thoughts and feelings about it since the beginning.*MC is a Mary Sue. Somewhat. Yes.*The agony of a being in love with your best friend and the thought of him not loving you back.*She left? Just like that? She left? Without a goodbye or anything because "I love you so much, I will forget everything where I gre [...]

I hate doing this - leaving a bad review is awful. However this book need's re-worked. I could not get into it at all. It switches point of view constantly & it left me confused as to who's POV i was experiencing. I struggled through an hour of this book before i finally gave up totally frustrated! I honestly think it could be a good YA book if it was just clearer. (to read this review & more like it visit - bookprotagonist/)

I think this story has a lot of potential, but I couldn't read/finish it because of poor editing. When I could look past all of the exclamation points (!!!-ugh) and the changing from 1st to 3rd person within the same paragraph, I got the sense that there was a good story building, but I didn't have the energy to read it in its current condition.

    • Latasha Oliver says:

I couldn't really get into this books and connect with the characters. I gave up at 48%. I wasn't a fan of the time jumps, the were confusing at times and I felt like I really had no idea what was really going on. Even the vague answers were just to vague for me to care. I wanted to love this book. I love anything Fey. Sadly this this book didn't do it for me.

    • Lindsey Michelle says:

Holy cow the typos and grammatical errors in this book. someone needs to hire a proofreader. there were errors every couple pages.

    • Saki says:

it's boring as hell, I started feeling sleepy when I got about 30 pages. Grace is boring and I don't even want to talk about the guys. I quit
