[Re-reading for fun because why not?]Cute, I love easy-read comics, children books are easy on the brain and most times I can relax even more. A little meh compared to the other books I've read in the series, but to be fair, I am older soah.

This tenth epic Captain Underpants novel jumps in right where the ninth one left off, with a time-traveling Tippy Tinkletrousers having apparently and inadvertently vanquished our hero for all time. Fortunately, both the good guys and the bad guys in the story have access to time travel machines, so the action picks up with a complicated, convoluted quest to restore things to their rightful order.Over the course of the wacky adventure, we get two versions of Captain Underpants fighting side by s [...]

My son (6) and I (the Mom) reviewed this book for MotherDaughterBookReviews Here's what we have to say:ON SAYS: Tippy Tinkletrousers, Captain Underpants, George, Harold, and their little pets keep traveling back and forth through time. There were lots of different sizes of Tippy Tinkletrousers and there were old and new Captain Underpants, Harolds, and Georges and they met in the future. I liked all the pictures – they make the story funnier. My favorites are the Flip-O-Ramas. They are fun and [...]

This series just keeps getting better and better, and while much of the humor isn't really my cup of tea, it's impossible not to be amused by the adventures of George and Harold, not to mention Captain Underpants and the many versions of Tippy Tinkletrousers. Readers will surely hoot in glee at the various iterations of this villain as they peek out from his unzipped pants. The focus of this volume is a revisionist history behind the Ice Age, the extinction of the dinosaurs, and other bits conce [...]

I own this book, it's a very interesting novel, we learn the "truth" of our universe, we go travel from the dinosaur age to the future.

      Really weird

I mean, okay. You know what you're getting into with Captain Underpants: slapstick comedy, gross-out humor, a celebration of art and being ridiculous. What you don't expect: a competent time-travel spoof (complete with competing time travel versions of characters) and a fun nod tweaking scientific tropes and concepts. As this is a very direct sequel to book nine, it's not something you can jump right in on, but as a tenth book that does a really fun job of restoring the whimsical aspects of the st [...]

I got a little confused (okay, very confused) at the time continuum thing, also wondered if the hamster and the pterodactyl died. What keeps me up at night is: If the hamster and the pterodactyle caused the universe to begin, what caused the universe to begin the first time that resulted in their creation in the first place? Actually, it doesn't keep me awake at night. But it is something to think about. My son and I like the website pilkey. He likes it for the potty humor and I like it because P [...]

It was a very back in time amazing book. I like it when Captian Underpant went back in time and met an older version of himself.

Real Rating: 4.5Harold and George are back! This time we learn that Professor Tippy Tinkletrouser did not meet his unfortunate end as we had once thought in last book. Instead we find that the two zombie George and Harold actually stepped on a large packet of ketchup. We find Tippy Tinkletrouser in a bind. He has managed to scare some bullies and changed the course of history. In this set of events, he got Mr. Krupp fired and because of this there will be no Captain Underpants. So he decides to g [...]

Captain Underpants is a super hero that saves Harold and George from different and dangerous adventures. The book starts with Harold and George at school and wanting to leave, and by doing whatever means possible. The beginning of this book it is a comic book, that is made to look like it was made by Harold and George. The text is handwritten, but by a child, and the drawings aren't in full complete detail besides some shading of the characters. This book did not have any color besides black and [...]

The tenth book in the Captain Underpants series was once again awesome! George, Harold, and captain Underpants went way back into time into the dinosaur ages! They were being chased by one of their main enemies. The team of three couldn’t defeat the enemy after them. There was no hope left for George, Harold, and Captain Underpants. However, George, and harold had found a huge group of cave people. George, and Harold convinced the cave people to help them defeat George’s, Harold’s, and Cap [...]

I liked reading this book however I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who is not a comic fan. To say the truth, I am definitely not a comic lover. Although this book isn't full of comic , there was bits of it which wasn't really interesting. The most pertinent reason for me not loving this book may be because I am too old for it. I wouldn't recommend children over 8 reading it. In conclusion, I would like to say Dav Pilkey is a wonderful story writer as my brother(who is 7) enjoyed reading [...]

    • Holli says:

The "explanation" of why Tippy wasn't killed at the end of the previous story is really kind of boring after a while; highly sleep-inducing before the full story comes to light. This series started out really fun and cute, but for me it's beginning to take a downward spiral the longer it goes on.

A tongue twisting adventure with horrible bathroom jokes and acts of violence. My kids (3 & 5 yrs) and I loved it. We are now reading the whole series together. A book for the whole family, a family that enjoys hearing some of the jokes over and over and over again. ;)
