6 chapters and a prologue and I am already in love with the characters! I hadn't realized how much I missed allomancy until I started reading again the amazing world that Brandon Sanderson has created.I knew I shouldn't have read this so far ahead of the books release date, but I couldn't help myself. Now I'm hooked and can't wait to get to know the characters better and what ends up happening. Wax, how cool of a name is that? And Wayne is hilarious!Genius, pure and simple. I've read this online, and now I'm reading it on a Sony e-reader. I am a big Sanderson fan, but I have yet to determine whether I am a fan of the e-reader experience. The rating above is for the outdated e-reader, not for the story itself. I am anxiously awaiting the release of The Alloy of Law in November!

Like always, Sanderson's characters are entertaining, deep, and seem totally real! And this continuation of the Mistworld series, although slightly lighter in tone than the original trilogy, is just as amazing to read and is rich in detail and plot. I can't wait for the sequel scheduled for later in 2015.

This was actually a re-read of the whole book in preparation for Shadows of Self. I had forgotten most of the content so it was almost like a first-time read. It was just as good the second time through. I'm super excited to find out what happens next.
