Summary: Dinosaur's Don't, Dinosaur's Do is a cute story that teaches children about proper manners through the example of some dinosaurs. On each page the dinosaur's are shown doing something they're not supposed to do, and then they are shown doing the correct action. The dinosaurs on each page are able to teach children a new lesson on proper behavior that can be translated to the classroom or at home. This book is perfect for young readers because of the adorable dinosaurs on each page and t [...]

A nice story about kindness and using good manners. The illustrations are energetic and fun.

Dinosaurs Don't, Dinosaurs Do by Steve Björkman is a beginning reader title using dinosaurs to teach children proper manners and ettiquette. Bjorkland mentions playing nicely, running outside, asking others to choose, talking when mad, saying I'm sorry, eating neatly, sharing, using nice words like please and thank you, not yelling in church, and cleaning up messes. I suspect many will most enjoy the bad examples shown of running inside, popping others balloons, throwing mud, not asking, hittin [...]

This book introduces common rules that kids should know especially when they are in school. Although this book could be used for much younger children, if second grade and up are not behaving this may be a good book to read aloud to the class to remind them how to obey rules and how to get along with others. The fact that this uses dinosaurs as characters help students stay entertained with the book. It also shows an illustration of the dinosaur doing something they shouldn't do compared to what [...]

In this easy reader book, children are taught the proper ways to behave through the actions of dinosaurs. An example of what dinosaurs shouldn't--or don't--do is provided first, followed by an example of what dinosaurs do. For instance, "Dinosaurs don't use mean words. Dinosaurs do use nice words." Because young readers love dinosaurs, they may be more likely to take these lessons in manners to heart than they would otherwise. The pen, ink, and watercolor illustrations are fun to look at too, es [...]

As a dinosaur lover from way back, I have to admit that most children's books with dinosaurs in them are very amusing to me. And this book which focuses on manners and is an early reader, is a real winner. It's always a good thing to remind readers, young and old, that dinosaurs have to use their manners too!

I love books with morals to teach. It is a great way to open a discussion about how the behavior would make the listener feel. The kids thought this was a funny book and the illustrations really add to the book and understanding for younger readers.

(picture book) Very wonderful illustrations, sometimes it seemed a little too busy, but well done nonetheless. Great for teaching manners and reminding children what is appropriate for what situation

Even dinosaurs have to try to be good. See what happens when they're not and when they are why everyone likes dinosaurs. –Monty K.-

This book, in my opinion, was a good book to use for young children. It talks about what the dinosaurs do instead of fighting. I liked the illustrations very much.

Pretty basic manners book. I love the last line: "Dinosaurs treat others as they want to be treated. That is why everyone loves dinosaurs!"

Eh. I can see the purpose but didn't particularly love it. My 21? month old niece lost interest after a couple pages.
