I have written several books in the relatively new genre of Visionary or Metaphysical Fiction When I finished my first novel, The Eighth House, twenty five years ago, there was no such designation in the publishing industry The book didn t fit the fantasy, adventure or mystery molds, and so waited on the shelf It dealt with expanding awareness, meditation, visioning, divination, the return of the Divine Feminine, and the evolution toward a unified humanity.Since then I have studied the ancient wisdom and esoteric teachings of various traditions, helping me to become a conscious writer When I work, I seek to be an active participant in the exchange of energy and information between the mundane and ethereal worlds My latest works, The Road to Shambhala, and Contact and Other Impressions, focus on the interplay between these realms and the effect of transcendental experience on subjective reality.I have enjoyed a creative partnership of 33 years with my wife, visionary artist Joyce Huntington Her work can be seen on the covers of my books, and at her website, JoyceHuntingtonArt Joyce has illustrated several of the children s books and is a constant inspiration to me The places we have called home Tucson, Ithaca, Sedona, Ojai provide the settings for many of the stories.
