I wanted a break from angsty reads, but this may have been overdoing it. Everyone in this book is so excruciatingly nice; it’s enough to make you wish for a skanky other woman or an obsessed stalker. When some conflict finally arrives, it just feels startling and out of place.Crissy decided to have her baby adopted when she was 17; twelve years later, she wants to get to know the child, and the adoptive parents are pleased as punch to welcome her to the family and basically tell her to help he [...]

***2.5 Stars***I really liked the way this book started out. We have Crissy who is a thirty-year-old successful business woman who owns multiple gyms. When she was in high school she and her boyfriend accidentally got pregnant after they gave each other their virginity. She had the child at age seventeen and gave it up for adoption. She wasn't ready for a child and she simply felt she was too young. Her decision was a bit on the selfish side but she could never have given him the kind of life hi [...]

I'm gonna say 3.5 stars rounded up cause I liked the h and the story is meatier than I was expecting.Crissy the woman who could kick his ass, and Josh the fool with blinders.I went into this one expecting fluff like the third book, but the characters were quite interesting. Crissy is a woman of 30 who owns her own chain of fitness gyms for women. She has one weakness though, that she had a child at 16 and gave him up for adoption. Over the years the adoptive parents have kept in touch and would [...]

I love this book! It was really good, and had me tearing through the pages to get to the end. I loved reading about the characters overcoming their past to have a future, and I also loved all the humor the author provided. Definitely a quick, but enjoyable, read. Definitely recommended.

I was okay with the story and enjoying up until we got towards the end. Then I started regretting that it was a romance novel which meant she couldn't be a strong single mother. Because (view spoiler)[the hero turned into douchebag with all sorts of truly awful things to say to her. She was trying to trap you? YOU CAME ON TO HER FIRST DOUCHEBAG. And that wasn't all he said. Fuck 'im. (hide spoiler)] So the first three-quarters-plus of this story keeps it from being a one star, butah. Not a rerea [...]

A cute quick read. I love reading Susan Mallery and her stories never disappoint. I didn't realize at the time this was a follow up to Having Her Boss's baby, so it was nice to see those characters again. My only complaint (and it's minor) is where is the epilogue? Yay for the happy ending, but I would have loved an epilogue telling whether they had a boy or girl and how everything turned out especially with Brandon. But, overall I really enjoyed it and now that I see this was a series, I'm goin [...]

I skimmed through this. I was expecting the focus to be on the unplanned pregnancy but the heroine didn't find out she was pregnant for 150 pages and the hero wasn't told until almost 200 pages in. This book wasn't even 300 pages all up; the pacing was far too slow and when they finally both knew about the pregnancy, their reactions were irritating. The heroine's opinions about women were also far too preachy.

I love Susan Mallery. I was a little nervous when getting this book because I have not liked some of her older books as much. However, this book was great and I hope to read the two previous books in this series!! I really liked Josh and Crissy chemistry. I loved Pete and Abbey (I'm curious about their story) and Brandon was so cute! I however did not like the Stacey story line at the end. Thankfully it didn't drag on.

When a gym owner decides to finally meet the child she gave up for adoption 12 years ago, she ends up falling hard for the kid's uncle, a widowed pediatric oncologist. However, apparently old habits die hard, and she winds up with another unplanned pregnancy. But the hero has reasons of his own for not wanting kids. This wasn't bad but the ending felt rushed.

    • Peni says:

I have to admit this was my favorite story of the series. Crissy was so snarky in the other books and that came out in this one as well. What came with it was this wonderful volnerability. It put her in just the right place to let someone sneak past her defenses. Very well done. A wonderful feel good story.Recommended.

    • Teacher1209 says:

Good story, a bit predictable at times. Crissy shoots straightfrom the hip and pulls no punches, which is exactly what Josh needs. Throw in a son she gave up for adoption at birth 12 yrs ago, who just happens to be Josh's nephew by adoption, and an unplanned pregnancy and you have a mess. The ending was a bit rushed, I felt they went from fighting to a marriage proposal too quickly.

Faltou tempero totalmente.

    • Sue says:

In the mood for light romance this would do it, has some grit to it but mostly it's just what it suppose to be HEA.Rating 3.25Read it because the first of the series was an enjoyable read no stress reading just sweet.

    • Elizabeth says:

I had a hard time with this one because everyone is too nice. Even when the hero is being a jerk, he's a wonderful jerk. The characters here are too nice to even imagine being real. That took away from some of the enjoyment I typically get from Ms Mallery's writing.

    • Ally says:

      2.5 stars

    • Leyns says:

The book description doesn't do it justice. I'm not usually a fan of the 'accidental pregnancy' storyline. Especially when one of them is a doctor

    • June says:

Crissy works up the nerve to finally meet her son that she gave up for adoption 13 years ago and falls for her son's adopted uncle. A night together leaves her pregnant.

    • Tamara Jimenez says:

Great readI really enjoyed this book. It was real and warm hearted. I loved how the families worked in the relationship and made it work. Would recommend

    • Aldy says:

El héroe es un mal tipo, así de fácil. Ojalá la heroína no lo hubiese perdonado tan fácilmente, qué me importan sus traumas porque hace 4 años se murió su esposa con la que no podía tener hijos?
